Description

Congratulations on receiving an offer to study at UCL! The History Department are holding a series of Open Days for applicants with offers. The Open Day will give you the opportunity to meet current students, your future lecturers and other applicants who will be starting at UCL in September.


Schedule:

Professor Eleanor Robson (Head of Department) will be welcoming all offer holders on the day; one of our academics will be delivering a mini-lecture; and Dr Iain Stewart will be talking about what it is like to study History at UCL. Current students will also take you on a tour of the campus and there will be an opportunity to have refreshments and an informal chat with a number of researchers and lecturers from the department.

1:15pm Welcome talk – Professor Eleanor Robson (Head of Department)

1:30pm Campus tour

2:15pm Studying History at UCL talk – Dr Iain Stewart

2:45pm Student life talk

3:15pm Refreshments

4:00pm Taster Session - BA Ancient History

4:15pm Sample Lecture - ‘“Mahomedan Fenians”: Anti-Imperialism, the Islamic World, and Irish Republican Thought, c. 1848-1885’ by Dr Jagjeet Lally

5:00pm Finish
