Date: Thursday 26th April 2018

Venue: UCL BaseKX | 103c Camley Street | N1C 4PF London

Time: 2.00pm to 5.00pm

Join us on this free three-hour workshop to improve your chances of success by developing your understanding of customers and users

About the Workshop

This workshop is for people developing new products, features and propositions. It will encourage you to confront your assumptions about the problems that people may have, what solutions they want and how they are going to behave when you put that solution in their hands. Julia Shalet (Product Doctor) will share a number of tried and tested tool-kits grounded in both popular Lean practice and her own experiences, showing you how to take a scientific approach to gathering evidence to reduce the business risks inherent in making these risky assumptions.

The Workshop is in 2 parts:

  • Part 1 Identify the risky assumptions we have made about how people feel, think and behave
  • Part 2 Design research experiments to test out those risky assumptions

By the end of the workshop, you will have recognised risky assumptions and will know the next steps to take in de-risking them.

This workshop is open to all Students and Staff at UCL who either have a business idea/current business and want to learn how to do their own customer development, or anyone who simply has an interest in the subject area.
