Introduction to Social Enterprise

Date: Thursday 7th December

Venue: UCL Base KX

Time: 2.00pm to 5.00pm

This free three-hour workshop will offer you a hands-on introduction to the concept of Social Enterprise

About the workshop:

This workshop will introduce you to the basics of social enterprise, including:

  • What it means

  • How it is practiced

  • What makes it different

  • The design process

It’s a fun, interactive event offering the chance for you to explore the world of opportunities presented by social enterprise. The workshop will cover the following areas in more depth:

  • What is a social enterprise

  • Examples from around the world

  • The path from inception through to design

  • The importance of social change and innovation

  • Profit and social change – getting the balance right

  • Creating sustainable business models

Who should attend:

This workshop is open to all Students and Staff at UCL who either have an idea for a social enterprise /current enterprise, or simply want to learn more about the topic

How do I register?

Participation is free but we do require a £10 deposit which will be refunded upon attendance. Places are limited to 30 people. Please register using the link above.
