As part of the forthcoming UCL Public History MA programme, which will be based at the new UCL East campus in Stratford, this one-day symposium will bring together public historians, academics, archivists, community heritage groups and local organisations to reflect on 'The Practices of Doing Public History'.

The symposium will include two panels, a performance and a community consultation event led by the East End Women's Museum. The day will close with a roundtable discussion on topics such as regeneration, the ways in which public historians engage with or resist change in the local area, and the role of the university and other institutions in this process.
