The Anthony Davis Book Collecting Prize is open to students studying for a degree at a university in London. This year the prize was hosted by UCL Special Collections, with 64 applications received from universities across London. The panel of judges included representatives of the Antiquarian Booksellers' Association and the Bibliographical Society.
Alexandra is studying for an MA in Library And Information Studies at UCL, and will be talking about her collection and showing some of her books. Hear the other six finalists presenting their collections later in the series on 28 July and 11 August. For information about the prize itself (2020 applications now closed), please visit the Anthony Davis Book Collecting Prize webpage. The session will be chaired by Dr. Tabitha Tuckett, Acting Head Of Rare Books at UCL Special Collections.
We plan to record the session and make it publicly available afterwards.
UCL Rare-Books Club aims to promote UCL’s Special Collections and to facilitate conversations between student and professional researchers working on the collections, but sessions are open to all.
