From Print to Prompts: What the Past Says About the Future of Science Journalism

What does the future hold for science journalism—and who gets to shape it? Drawing on 25 years in the media, this talk takes a personal and professional journey from the analog age of print through digital disruption to the dawn of AI. It will offer strong opinions, take a stab at sharp insights, and offer stories from the frontlines--such as how to get a bikini wax on expenses or end up with a Hobo name. Expect candid reflections on what journalism is for, where science writing sits within it, and what comes next.

The lecture will be followed by a reception.
