UCL Student Switch Off Ambassador Training
Thu, 20 Oct 2016, 12:00 – Fri, 21 Oct 2016, 13:00 BST
Student Switch Off is a not-for-profit international campaign encouraging student action on climate change.
We use social media and peer-to-peer communications to promote pro-environmental behaviour change. Our aim is to reach all students by offering worthwhile incentives to change their behaviour: our regular prizes are Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, NUS extra cards, Leon and Planet Organic goody bags. We track energy-saving and recycling across the year and the hall that saves the most electricity per person and recycles the best will be rewarded with a special prize to celebrate.
What is the role of an ambassador?
Your role as an Ambassador is to promote the competition within your halls and encourage others to save energy as much as they can. Becoming an Ambassador will give you the opportunity to get more widely involved in various university and SU events, as well as the national Student Switch Off campaign.
