Description

Introducing UCL Friends of MSF’s first speaker event of the year-UCL Student to MSF Frontline: An Evening with Dr. Javid Abdelmoneim

Join us on Tuesday 17th October in Christopher Ingold XLG2 at 7pm for an evening of inspiration, where we hear from Dr Javid Abdelmoneim, MSF UK's current president and former UCL student and Friends of MSF President!

After graduating from UCL in 2003, Dr. Javid worked as an emergency medicine registrar in Chelsea & Westminster Hospital in London. He first joined MSF UK as a field volunteer in 2009 and has since worked on MSF projects in Iraq, Haiti, Lebanon and South Sudan.

As well as being part of the team that were first on the ground during the Ebola Crisis in Sierra Leone where he led a BBC Panorama documentary, he now also presents the Al Jazeera TV series: "The Cure".

Attend this talk to be inspired and gain an insight into some of the most challanging mental and physical situations that humanitarian aid workers face.

You will also have the opportunity to ask questions about his journey; from a UCL Student to a leading MSF figure, during our Q&A session. So come along to this truly unmissable event!!

Everyone is welcome!
The event is completely FREE to attend, tickets are available on eventbrite!
