About this event
This webinar will introduce UCL's Teacher Degree Apprenticeship in Secondary Mathematics, outline how secondary schools can support apprentices on their journey to becoming qualified mathematics teachers, and explain the benefits of partnering with UCL as an employing school.
Information for schools:
Be one of the first schools to partner with UCL to recruit and develop secondary mathematics teachers on our new teacher degree apprenticeship programme.
Is your school passionate about high-quality teacher education? Are you committed to employing skilled, specialist mathematics teachers who will enrich your mathematics department and school? What is the Teacher Degree Apprenticeship (TDA)
The TDA is a four-year undergraduate (UG) apprenticeship course of initial teacher education.
Apprentices graduate with a UCL UG degree and QTS while working in your school.
Who can become an Apprentice?
• An existing member of school support staff, who would like to convert to a full teaching career
• A year 13 student, who will be an aspirational role model to younger students in their community as they complete undergraduate study and initial teacher education at a world-leading university
• New applicants to your school
* Please note that applicants are required to have a minimum grade of B in A-level Mathematics or equivalent as determined by UCL. For further details on additional requirements, please contact us at mathstda@ucl.ac.uk
