UCL Technology Fund presents TechTonic, 4-6pm, 8th December - A session of talks and socialising with the CEO of a successful tech spin out, and the UCL Tech fund manager.
How can you turn your academic idea into a commercial success? How can you find the funding and support to make your vision a reality? What does it take to be a successful entrepreneur?
Earlier this year the £50 million UCL Technology Fund was set up to provide academics at UCL with both funding and commercial support for innovations that have the potential for significant societal and market impact. We have a transparent, independent and efficient funding process; and expressions of interest can be made all year round - we aim to be as accessible as possible.
We’ll be hosting social and networking events entitled ‘TechTonic’ every two months with insights from entrepreneurs and from those involved with investing in and commercialising technology research from universities.
The first of these will be held from 4-6pm on the 8th December in 66-72 Gower Street G01. Please come and join us for some brief talks from, and the chance to network with, Rael Cline, CEO of UCL Computer Science Spinout MediaGamma, Investment Partners and Managers from Albion Ventures (Managers of the UCL Technology Fund), and Business Managers from UCL Business.
