About this event

University life can feel overwhelming. Deadlines, exams, social pressure, and that constant inner critic telling you you’re not enough can all add up, leaving you stressed and stretched thin. These weekly guided mindfulness meditation sessions are for UCL students who want to reset, recharge, and reconnect with their calm so they can thrive through university life at UCL.

This isn’t about quick fixes or productivity hacks. Guided by the belief that the answer lies within, Pragmatic Mindfulness is a simple yet powerful experiential approach that helps you tap into your own innate wisdom and discover tools that truly work for you.

In these sessions, you’ll begin to:
• Ease stress and quiet the inner critic
• Build resilience against burnout and pressure
• Develop calm focus you can carry into lectures, study sessions, and daily life
• Show up grounded in the present and confident in who you are

Each session lasts 50 minutes and will mostly take place online via provided Zoom links. Opportunities for in-person sessions will be advertised with notice. You’ll have guided practise during the session and take away tools you can return to again and again. The more consistently you come and practise your tools, the more you’ll strengthen your ability to stay centred and focused, no matter what university life throws your way.

No prior experience is needed. Just bring yourself, an open mind, and a willingness to explore.

Disclaimer: These sessions are offered independently as a wellbeing event for UCL students and are not part of UCL Student Wellbeing services.
