UCLDH seminar: Ephemeral Cities and the Forgotten Past
Wed 18 January 2017, 17:30 – 18:30 GMT
Ephemeral Cities and the Forgotten Past
History is written by the rulers, the despots, and the daring, but what of the lives on which their greatness is balanced?
Ephemeral Cities was an early model, an attempt to draw forgotten lives to the surface in hopes of seeing how great men were made, or, how they shaped popular opinion.
This seminar is a review of approaches, what worked, what needed to work better, and how - in looking back - it sought to see the future.
