UCLOrk: The UCL Laptop Orchestra

This session will bring together people who want to participate in UCL’s first laptop orchestra. It will involve creating digital instruments using a simple graphical programming environment, exploring these with finger-based controllers, and then learning and performing a piece of music together.

Important: You must bring your own laptop and have the software listed at http://www0.cs.ucl.ac.uk/staff/N.Gold/music-systems-engineering/ucl-digifest-uclork.html pre-installed on it before arriving to the session.


About the session host
Dr Nicolas Gold is a Senior Lecturer in UCL's Department of Computer Science. He leads the Music Systems Engineering Research Team.

Filming, photography and recording
Participants are encouraged to take photographs, film clips and recordings of sessions and distribute these via social media. In addition the event organisers will be capturing the event and distributing photographs and film clips via the event website and other public channels. By attending a digifest event you consent to photographs and film clips being used in this way.
