UCLU Film Society Short Film & Web series Premieres and meet the filmmakers
UCLU Film Society takes over a London bus for an evening to display our latest short films made last year and showcase filmmaking talent here at UCL. We will also have a space for attendees to meet the filmmakers and ask questions about making films on nonexistent to small budgets while at university.
We will show a programme of shorts that we made last academic year, with this as the premiere event for 2/3 of the films. We will also display a web series shot in our own studio which comprises of 3 15minute episodes. In addition to this we can showcase talent from filmmakers from the wider UCL community.
The event will be a drop in and out with films rolling on a loop on our custom built screen on the top deck of a bus and the lower deck as a space to learn from members and meet potential collaborators for the future.
About the session host
The award-winning UCLU Film Society provides a forum for both emerging filmmakers and cinema lovers. The society offers a diverse range of opportunities for members to meet others who share a passion for film and get involved in filmmaking, regardless of experience.
The society is over 65 years old, making it not only one of UCLU’s longest running societies but one of the oldest in the country. The society has produced a number of notable alumni throughout its history, including director Christopher Nolan (President 1992-94) and producer Emma Thomas.
