This is a family fun day with a twist raising funds for UJIA. Held at Pro Spin Club near Manchester Airport, at 3pm, Sarah Nixon Carr will lead a group of Family Spinners covering the distance together from Haifa to Eilat. 25 riders will each spin 15k to complete this North-South family ride together. Riders must be over 12 and 4'11" in height. Suitable for all levels from beginner, spinner, to hubnut. Each bike costs £5 and funds go straight to UJIA.
During Sarah's ride, the Israel Riders will have their Power:Weight tested on Wattbikes, and compete in 10k Time Trials starting in two waves. The winner of a Power:Weight league will receive £100 of Pro Spin vouchers. Wattbike rides are £10 each and coached by professional cycle and triathlete coaches.
Then at 4pm, Master Spinner Ross Sommers will take just the Israel Riders team back up north, up and down Masada a few times on the way. This wil be a hard Spin.
Tickets are £5 for each spin bike, and £10 for the Wattbike Time Trials and fitness tests. Young riders will not have to pay for a short Wattbike fitness test. An optional donation to UJIA is possible when you buy your tickets. Tickets may only be bought in advance, and through this site. You may not turn up on the day without pre-purchase.
The aim of the event is to raise awareness for the UJIA Israel Ride in 2017, and to encourage new riders to join the team, and to include all the family too. Pro Spin are pleased to be supporting this years ride and will be assisting with training and conditioning riders. NB Spin Bikes at Pro Spin take SPD cleats, and Wattbikes take all types of cycle cleats. Riders are welcome to ride in to the event and will be given a free bike safety check on the day.
