Event description
Suitable for solicitors, in-house counsel and barristers engaged in advising clients in relation to commercial contracts operating in the UK

About this Event

This webinar is designed to give an up-to-date overview of the changes to EU and UK Competition law post Brexit. It will help attendees consider the steps their clients should take as a result of such changes.

This session, led by Rebecca Attree, will explore important changes to UK competition law as a result of Brexit. It is likely there will be divergence between EU and UK competition law post Brexit, and companies trading in the EU and the UK will need to keep up-to-date on the two fields of law as they develop separately.

Even the definition of “market” that is crucial to determining if a company has significant market share for competition law to apply will change from 1.1.2021.

Insights and knowledge from this session will enhance your ability to:

• Assess if the revised EU and UK competition laws apply to your clients

• Advise clients on the latest important changes to EU and UK competition law and the steps they need to take as a result

• Assist clients to manage better any current investigations and claims relating to EU and UK competition law

Who is this webinar for?

While this webinar is aimed at a general business audience, we highly recommend for solicitors, in-house counsel and barristers engaged in advising clients in relation to commercial contracts operating in the UK and EU. You will already have a basic knowledge of UK and EU competition law and will be looking to update your knowledge in light of Brexit.

We expect demand for this session to be high, so early booking is recommended.
