Event description

Description

A unique opportunity for Interior Designers, Architects, Property Developers and other Trade Buyers in the Newcastle area to learn how eporta (the first trade-only FF&E sourcing platform) could transform your sourcing process.

To celebrate our 2 year anniversary, the eporta team will be taking to the road! We will be running our first UK Design Tour visiting design-centric cities across the UK to meet the design community outside of our London hub.

We're delighted to invite you to the Newcastle edition of the tour which will be hosted in collaboration with award winning product and interior designers, NOVOCASTRIAN. Following a drinks reception and introduction to eporta at Hoults Yard (one of the world's most famous old pottery factories), we will head over the road where NOVOCASTRIAN will open the doors of their brand new Tyneside workshop for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour. You will be able to experience their unique crafting processes first hand with live demonstrations of their metalworking and specialist patina techniques as well as a showcase of some of their signature finished pieces. This will be followed by some social networking while enjoying drinks from the local Tyne Bank brewery!

More about eporta

Since our launch only 2 years ago, we have worked to revolutionise the industry and streamline the sourcing and purchasing process to save you time, hassle and money, allowing you to focus on your designs. Already more than 7,000 trade buyers (Interior Designers, Architects, Property Developers and other trade) around the world are using eporta to discover and purchase FF&E from over 1,200 suppliers globally.

More about Novocastrain

Novocastrian are designers, architects and industrially-trained metalworkers who make bespoke furniture and handsome spaces. Their work focuses on the manufacturing heritage of the North East of England, creating elemental, yet timeless pieces using raw, modest materials. Metal forms the back bone of their work but a carefully-curated range of Cumbrian slate also permeates within their designs. Each and every one of their pieces is hand-crafted with passion and integrity by their hardy northern designers working to produce an ongoing collaboration between form and materiality. The brand pride themselves on using time-honoured techniques and an understated palette to create refined, contemporary aesthetics with just a hint of opulence. They always embrace the quirks of the metal worker’s interpretation in their products and ensure that the reinterpretation of even the most modest of materials remains key to their creative philosophy.
