About this event

You are cordially invited to attend our 2nd Spring Colloquium, which will be held on Friday 3rd May from 10:30-17:00 hours at the Technological University Dublin, Ireland. This Spring Colloquium is a chance for UK & Ireland based engineering educators and engineering education researchers to present their ideas and develop new collaborations.

The purpose of this free event is to:

- Provide those who are new to engineering education research with a venue to present their work and receive feedback

- Facilitate networking and mentoring of Newer Researchers in Engineering Education Research (@eern_ecr on Twitter).

- Grow the EERN Special Interest Groups (mathematics, research methods and diversity in engineering education) and explore future collaborations and funding opportunities

Venue: St Laurence’s Church, Grangegorman Campus, TU Dublin, Dublin(Luas tram Green line, direction Broombridge, stop Grangegorman)

Date: Friday 3rd May 2019, 10.30-17.30.

The colloquium is preceded by a social gathering in the evening of Thursday, May 2nd, at Restaurant BOCO, 57 Bolton St, Inns Quay, Dublin 1.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS: We are accepting proposals for short presentations and poster displays. We are particularly interested in contributions on: the sharing of ideas, experience of particular methodologies and summaries of work in progress.

Please email a 350 word abstract or poster proposal by 18 March 2019 to: edward.conlon@dit.ie

Attendance is free of charge, but registration is required. Accommodation, travel costs and the pre-colloquium dinner will not be covered by the organizers. Coffee and snacks during the conference are included. Please let us know if there are any allergies or dietary restrictions.
