Supergen are hosting a series of online 'Deep Dive' workshops for exploration into key areas of research collaboration in the UK and India.
About this event
Supergen Bioenergy Hub are holding a two part series of online 'Deep Dive' Workshops facilitated by experts in the field of bioenergy from the UK and India to explore key areas as identified by stakeholders from academia, industry and policy.
These events form part of the UK-India Bioenergy research collaboration project funded by UKRI, and follows a successful first online workshop attended by over 60 participants on 14 February 2022.
The Deep Dives will be held in two parts on 11 March (Part 1 - themed workshops) & 17 March (Part 2 - joint plenary)covering the following points of discussion:
• the work already being done in both countries
• the remaining research challenges
• how the UK and India can collaborate in the future.
Friday 11 March (Part 1) - themed workshops facilitated by Subject Lead experts from the UK and India, where participants will have the opportunity to share their expertise, ideas and knowledge of bioenergy in the UK-India and hear from experts in the fields.
Thursday 17 March (Part 2) - joint plenary round up session to identify commonalities and make recommendations to inform a final report identifying mutually beneficial areas of collaboration and illustrating where the two countries can work together in synergy around net zero technologies.
Themes
A range of topic areas have been identified by stakeholders from the UK and India and cover the following themes:
- Fermentation
- Anaerobic Digestion
- Rice & other residues
- Biorefineries and chemical,
- Waste and circular economy
- Rural opportunities, economics & policy
- Algal biofuels & biochemicals.
Participants will be asked to select their preferred themed area of interest and a second option, as well as being offered the opportunity to sign up to both Part 1 & Part 2 sessions during the registration process.
