Description

The UK Industrial Strategy provides significant opportunities for Scottish businesses to access funding and support for innovation and business growth, working with higher and further education. There are particular funding opportunities for businesses in all sectors of the economy in the areas of Artificial Intelligence and Data, Ageing Society, Clean Growth and the Future of Mobility.

This workshop on how to bid is free to attend and will be followed by a networking lunch. It is being organised in partnership with the Scottish Government and City of Glasgow College.

The workshop will give attendees practical advice, guidance and intelligence from those who know what it takes to succeed. The workshops will feature presentations from:

  • Businesses which have been part of successful bids or bid consortia, who will discuss developing ideas to identifying collaborators to securing funding.

  • Innovate UK/ the UK Government will outline opportunities for Scottish businesses in the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund, Sector Deals and the Strength in Places Fund.

  • Leading businesses will give insights into how they develop, write and position quality bids for funding in Scotland, the UK and globally.
