UK preview of the NurSusTOOLKIT – sustainability education in nursing and midwifery
Join us for the UK preview of the NurSusTOOLKIT, an innovative approach to education for sustainable development with a specific focus on nurse and midwifery.
The NurSusTOOLKIT has been developed with partners in Spain, Germany and The Netherlands, using an evidence-based approach to provide core competencies for sustainability literacy in nursing and midwifery that support the European agenda on climate change. This event is the chance to preview the toolkit before the official launch that will take place in Germany later in 2017.
The afternoon will include a keynote address from a national sustainability and health leader (more details to follow) and an introduction to the development of the NurSusTOOLKIT and its key features. It will also provide an opportunity for you to view some of the materials and try out the educational activities.
This event is organised by the Sustainability, Society and Health research group at Plymouth University and is kindly supported by the University’s Institute for Health and Community and Sustainable Earth Institute.
