Course overview
This UKATA approved Asbestos Awareness course makes delegates aware of the types of asbestos fibres and products and where they may be located within buildings. The course also covers the ill-health effects which can arise from exposure to air-borne asbestos fibres. The course also aims to provide delegates with an understanding and appreciation of the legal and practical requirements and so help to protect themselves, their employees and visitors from the risks associated with asbestos on premises including the duty to manage as prescribed by regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
This course is designed to meet and exceed the requirements for asbestos awareness training as specified within regulation 10 of the regulations it also fully addresses the asbestos awareness syllabus as specified by the United Kingdom Asbestos Training Association (UKATA).
