Can i bring children?

Yes, but any children are the responsibility of the parent or guardian. There will be craft knives used in the workshop. Colouring and activity sheets can be provided. Please get in touch. northernireland@butterfly-conservation.org

Is there parking or public transport?

There is some on street parking nearby and disabled parking at the venue. Public transport - there is a 261 / 273 bus on the Belfast to Derry route - change at Dungannon to get the number 80 bus to Cookstown.

Take part in creating your own unique butterfly shadow puppet, help design and film a story piece to bring butterfly recording to life!

To celebrate 50 years of the UK Butterfly Monitoring Scheme (UKBMS) we are holding an event for existing volunteers and new people interested in volunteering to record and help butterflies in Northern Ireland.

Take part in creating your own unique butterfly shadow puppet, help design and film a story piece to bring the benefits, experience and value of butterfly recording to life for new curious minds and future volunteers!

FREE of charge but any donations welcome. All materials provided, tea, coffee and refreshments. Workshop includes an up to date overview of the UK Butterfly Monitoring Scheme and the first feedback on the results from this years surveys.
