UKCA and EU Marking Webinar Update - Online.
Event Information
About this Event
The U.K. has indicated plans for their own product marks from January 2021, whilst European Countries will continue to use the CE mark on products manufactured within the European Union. The complications and uncertainty have arisen as manufacturers move goods between nations and depend on the agreed Trade Agreements between the U.K. (G.B.) and N.I. and the E.U.
As we now have more clarity regarding the legislation this webinar will provide a recap of the arrangements of the deal put in place from 1st January. We will also endeavour to address any issues raised as a result of attendees' experiences.
We are extremely grateful to our specialist in this topic Dale Camsell, Senior Technical Consultant to a European engineering trade association and the Construction Equipment Association (in the UK) who has agreed to lend his time and experience again. He is chair of an ISO sub-committee and is a member of various CEN and BSI committees.
Topics will include:
- Confirmation of new UK laws that will replace EU laws.
- Identification of the UK borders brought about - G.B., N.I. & E.U.
- EN B.S.I. Designated Standards
- REACH - Overview of the arrangements for chemicals and critical deadlines
- Ecodesign Directive
- Open discussion/Q&A
We are grateful to our colleagues at the BMHF who will be presenting this webinar. We hope this session will help share recent experiences and resolutions to overcome complications with laws or delays in processes.
