UKCP Ethical or In Trouble Workshop - Manchester
The UKCP Ethics Committee are holding the "Ethical or In Trouble” Workshop, which will enable psychotherapeutic professionals and those that support them to really get to the heart of the new Ethics Code, and what is ethical practice and how to consider issues that arise in an ethical way.
The first part of the day will explain the new code, and the thinking behind it. There will be an opportunity to consider “An Approach to the Process of Addressing Ethical Issues and Dilemmas” an appendix of the Code that considers the process of working through issues when they occur in the work with clients.
In the afternoon, there will be the opportunity for attendees to choose two break-out sessions where particular ethical issues, such as ethics in research, or working ethically online, can be discussed and debated in smaller groups. At the end of the day all will come together to share the experience and bring to the floor any issues or insights.
For any further information, please get in contact with Sophia Dick by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) or telephone, 020 7014 9966.
