🔹 About the Event

The UK–DRC Business Partnership Mission is a high-level, multi-sector engagement designed to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the United Kingdom and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Organised by KNG in partnership with the British African Business Alliance with the participation of the UK Embassy in Kinshasa, the Fonds de Promotion de l’Industrie (FPI), and key Congolese ministries, this mission brings together government officials, investors, academics, and business leaders to explore strategic partnerships and investment opportunities.

This mission aims to:

  1. Foster trade partnerships across key sectors and industries
  2. Support industrial development in the DRC through collaboration with advanced British industries
  3. Promote mutually beneficial commercial partnerships between private sector enterprises in both countries
  4. Showcase the DRC’s industrialisation strategy and priority investment opportunities
  5. Promote sustainable commercial and academic partnerships between British and Congolese institutions
  6. Facilitate dialogue between policymakers, investors, and private sector actors
  7. Strengthen institutional cooperation with UK-based financial and economic entities
  8. Highlight strategic opportunities in the mining sector, including responsible sourcing, value chain development, and industrial transformation

🔹 Programme Highlights

13th October (Taking place at Parliament from 12pm): Financial Roundtable - Investment dialogue involving UK institutions, DRC officials, and the private sector focused on financing and risk mitigation in the energy, agriculture, infrastructure, and mining sectors.

14th October (Taking place at Parliament from 3.30pm): Briefing On Strategic Minerals - Meeting between British Parliament members and the Congolese delegation to discuss partnership proposals in the mining sector and security issues related to the conflict in the Eastern DRC.

15 October (Taking Place at a London Hotel - TBC from 1pm): Business Day - Business-to-business engagement and trade facilitation, emphasising partnerships in the industrial and mining sectors. Investment dialogue with UK institutions and DRC officials, private sector on energy, agriculture, Infrastructure, mining sector financing and risk mitigation.
