UKFast, in partnership with the National Apprenticeship Service, is proud to be hosting an exclusive event for businesses interested in running their own apprenticeship programmes.
A host of apprenticeship experts will provide all the information you need on running a successful apprenticeship scheme and the benefits this will have for your business.
On the day, you will receive a toolkit to help you make a start on creating your own apprenticeship programme and get the opportunity to speak to experts from the National Apprenticeship Service as well as network with other businesses and key apprenticeship partners.

The Speakers:
Lawrence Jones MBE – CEO, UKFast
Lawrence founded UKFast in 1999. 17 years later the web hosting company is worth over £1/4 billion and employs more than 250 people. Education and skills link UKFast closely to the northern tech ecosystem. In its work to combat the digital skills gap, UKFast directly engages and inspires more than 30,000 children across Greater Manchester and runs an award-winning apprenticeship programme.
Leanne Holmes - Operations Director / Site Leader, CPI
Bio: In 2015 Leanne was included in Insider North West’s ‘42 under 42’ for her work at Crane Payment Innovations. The company currently employs 260 people and turns over around £35m. Experiencing first-hand the impact of the technical skills gap, Leanne launched an apprentice academy.
Neil Clough - Managing Director, This is Prime
Bio: Since his appearance on The Apprentice in 2013, Neil has founded sales recruitment business, This is Prime. Neil runs a sales training programme through Prime Zone – launched alongside This Is Prime – so understands how important training is for getting people with the right skills into the right roles.
Theresa Grant - Chief Executive, Trafford Council
Bio: Theresa moved up to Chief Executive from Corporate Director in 2009. During her tenure, she has taken a lead on skills in Greater Manchester and has been outspoken on the importance of getting young women into technical apprenticeships.
Aaron Saxton - Director of Training and Education, UKFast
Bio: Aaron lives and breathes education. He, along with his training and education team, has built the UKFast apprenticeship programme from scratch. Currently in its third year, the programme now has 11 participants, with every single previous graduate of the scheme moving into a full time role within the company.
Karen Woodward - Deputy Director, Employer Relations, The National Apprenticeship Service
Bio: Karen moved to her current role in 2011 and has focused on fuelling demand for apprentices within businesses in the North West, East Midlands and the East of England.
