UKIEG 2017 Conference: Indoor Environments and Health in Buildings
Wed 26 April 2017, 09:30 – 16:30 BST
The UKIEG annual conference is a networking event for a multidisciplinary audience of academics, policy makers and industry experts with an interest in improving indoor environments for health and wellbeing.
The indoor home environment can have a profound effect on the health, wellbeing and comfort of building occupants; particularly for more vulnerable groups such as children, the elderly and those homebound due to illness. This conference brings together research and case studies to help shed light on this important topic.
Topics may include (but are not limited to):
Psychological and physiological effects of the indoor built environments (to include light, sound, spatial characteristics, hygrothermal conditions, indoor air quality and visual comfort)
Indoor environmental quality tools, standards, policies and regulations
Ventilation performance and exposure to indoor air contaminants
Occupant behaviour, control and environmental psychology
Indoor environmental quality in new build or retrofitted buildings
The conference will include invited speakers, presentations and discussion, a poster session and networking opportunities. The UKIEG AGM will take place during the lunch break.
