Description

This is the first conference for UK Medical Education Database (UKMED). It aims to:

  1. Promote application of findings from existing UKMED projects among medical schools

  2. Encourage new UKMED research applications

  3. Facilitate networking of UK medical education research community and collaborative projects

  4. Encourage better data keeping and sharing practice among medical schools

Audience: medical school admissions leads, education leads, medical education researchers interested in large N studies

The conference will cover the following themes:

  • Significance of UKMED findings for medical school admissions policy (Prof Chris McManus, Dr Lewis Paton, Prof Kevin Murphy, Prof John McLachlan, Dr Marina Sawdon)

  • Widening Participation –insights into what works (Prof Paul Garrud, Prof Jen Cleland, Dr Paul Lambe)

  • Are we closer to understanding differential attainment? (Dr Paul Tiffin, Dr James Galloway)

  • UKMED impact (Dr Tom Gale)

  • Data management for medical schools (Daniel Smith, Thomas Oppé)

Attendance at the conference is free, however we do not reimburse attendee travel costs. Please contact your organisation.
