Join us for a high-level analysis of one of the most significant human rights judgments in recent times. The landmark ruling in Ukraine and the Netherlands v. Russia addresses the extensive human rights violations perpetrated by the Russian Federation from the initial conflict in Donbas in 2014 and the downing of flight MH17 to the full-scale invasion of 2022.

This event brings together leading voices in international law to unpack the wider implications of this judgment. We will discuss its significance for Ukraine and for victims, its novel approach to jurisdiction, and the consequences for state accountability and human rights in armed conflict.

Date: 1pm UK, 29 September 2025; Duration: 1h15.
