Join Bishop Kenneth Nowakowski and Bishop Paul Mason for a special service for the installation and blessing of the new 'Our Lady of Victories' Ukrainian Icon. Created in collaboration with ACN.
The special service will be approximately one hour and will be followed by a reception.
Background on the Ukrainian Icon
The Catholic Military Association (CMA) has commissioned the first ever icon of Our Lady of Victories, with the assistance of ACN-UK and the Catenians. The CMA was founded with a devotion to Our Lady; its first public meeting was at the Oratory Church of the Immaculate Heart of Mary in London, its first pilgrimage was to Walsingham, and the Bishop of the Forces Bishop Paul Mason consecrated the CMA, its members and its works to Our Lady in 2023, again in Walsingham.
This icon was brought into being by Ukrainian Catholic iconographers who Aid to the Church in Need work with. The creation took place slowly due to the pressures of the war including key staff being called up and serving on the front line before returning to carry on with this project. The icon itself is now safely out of Ukraine despite coming under fire.
