One of Scotland's leading model makers, Cemal Ozturk, has constructed the first true representations after blueprints were discovered in the archives of Glasgow University.

Models of seven buildings, many of which would have transformed the skyline of Mackintosh's home town of Glasgow, are to feature in our new exhibition opening in Feb/March entitled 'Unbuilt Mackintosh'

All the designs have been built from incomplete or vague plans and were consigned to the files of Honeyman & Keppie, the architects firm where Mackintosh worked, after they were rejected.

The buildings show the idiosyncratic design style of Mackintosh - the railway terminus has two tall towers like minarets on a fairytale castle, while his two separate designs for concert halls are adorned with distinctive square windows and decorations inspired by the arts and crafts movement and the natural world.

Cemal will open the exhibition with a talk followed by a Q&A.
