Uncanny Christmas
At Primary, Nottingham
Saturday 10 December, 7pm - 1am

Live Music - DJs - Christmas Feast - Cocktails - Craft Beer & Ales - Art

Nine different bars in a former Victorian primary school, ‘Uncanny Christmas’ is the perfect antidote to the work christmas party. Ticket price includes welcome cocktail. All proceeds go to Primary, a not for profit organisation.



Small Food Bakery -
Primary’s resident bakery will be serving up their 'Groundnut Christmas Feast' a colourful and vibrant African inspired menu.


Lia White - Acoustical say: "A singer and musician from Nottingham, at just 16 years old, Lia is already making waves in Nottingham. She has excited people through a string of live performances that show her skill on her instrument, her lyric writing and her vocal control. Great tone, great vibe! "

It Ain't Workin' Chief - late of Glasgow's Subcity Radio brings you "It Ain't Uncanny Christmas, Chief" thematically linked tunes taking a skewed look at seasonal music of whatever genre takes The Chief's fancy...expect rhythm and blues, jazz, punk and points inbetween

NX Panther - NX Panther is the pseudonym of singer-songwriter, rapper and visual artist Alia Pathan. Fusing hip-hop/grime with world samples and home-made beats about cinema, dead technology, legacies and sightings of a mythical panther.
Expect samples from the jungle, sounds from the forest and resonances from Diaspora in the city.

FREYA - Resident Dj at 'meet me in the darts room' a monthly knees up at the king William pub and promoter at Rites of Passage a pop up club night in the city. She Plays from an eclectic bag of new wave, disco, folk and psych.

Joff and Ollie & Lane host a ‘pretentious’ cocktails in the ‘perfect setting’ for the ‘discerning’ cocktail drinker. Live Jazz singer

Exhibition bar at TG Gallery -
TG Gallery host a themed bar in the gallery alongside their show

Scandinavian Bar -
Line Nilsen will be hosting a Scandinvaian bar. Enjoy the scandinavian tradition of 'hygge' in the weavers workshop

Bot Bar with guest BARBOT -
Come over at the MFA studio to visit the “Lynchesque” style Santas Workshop. Enjoy a programme of live film & performances from from MFA students at NTU, Nottingham Hackspace and other guests. In addition to serving a local ale & cider we have “Barbot” a robitic bartender.

Clay Therapy Bar -
Come and relax with a drink in Christines immersive clay bar in the ceramics studio

The Grott[o] Bar -
HUTT will be hosting their Grotty Grotto bar again this year in the caretakers basement.

Russian Roulette -
Come and play a game of Russian roulette at Yelena's Vodka Bar.

The Green Man & Regular Fellows -
The Green Man & Regular Fellows reappears for one night only, offering regulars a rich environment of drinks, song, laughter and games. Why not put one in the wood for Dave and get involved in some dis lodged behaviours.

INVISIBLE - Rachel Jacobs

Hidden in a corner of Primary’s playground, an experimental mirrored surface will reflect the people and environment around it, opening up an invisible doorway leading to another place and time. There will also be a fire and mulled wine to keep you warm.
Invisible was developed in partnership with Horizon Digital Economy, University of Nottingham.


Join Chris and Emma Lewis-Jones in a workshop in which you will explore different bateria street styles, from Samba-Reggae to Bhangra to Hip Hop. The workshop will culminate in a performance in Project Space 1 at Primary. All levels and all abilities welcome. All you need to be able to do is to surrender to the rhythm and to move to the groove!
