About this event

The increased discussions and actions around dismantling systemic and systematic racism through education, the justice system, representation in the arts, employment and politics has led to conversations at all levels of British society.

Anti-Racist City Oxford are facilitating a series of conversations for Oxonians in a safe space to explore some of the questions and sensitive topics through a dialogue, opportunity for Q&A.

These conversations will be based on lived experiences and will aim to give participants the tools to continue their own learning in this sensitive area.

This is a listening and learning 'Safe Space' participants are expected to follow guidelines to protect the space for all participants including the panelists:

- Intentionally offensive use of racist, sexist, anti-semitic, Islamophobic, transphobic, ableist, ageist or homophobic language will mean expulsion from the seminar

- No unauthorised recordings (audio/visual) of the sessions should be made with prior agreement of Anti-Racist City: Oxford

- Cameras will expected to be on at the start of the event and during the Q&A this is to identify those joining the event.

Anyone found to be in breech of these guidelines will be prohibited from participating in future Anti-Racist City: Oxford events.
