Description

Research completed by the IOP has shown that gender imbalance in schools is due to stereotyping and unconscious bias, and should be tackled with an evidence-based whole school approach.

This CPD event focuses on our unconscious bias and how it can impact on gender imbalance in schools and what can be done to tackle the issue. Unconscious bias training has been found to be a main driver to change of classroom practice. The session will be delivered by a gender balance officer from the IOP.

This event is open to teaching and support staff working in education.

This event is supported by a grant from the Improving Gender Balance team at the Institute of Physics.
