About this Event
This 3 hour course is an essential understanding for employers and employees on how unconscious bias manifests in the workplace and how to recognise this and tackle it. Through tested and successful methods of tackling unconscious bias, employers and employees will be able to recognise unconscious bias, take positive steps to address it, and help foster a diverse and inclusive workplace with confidence. This course also addresses the nature of anti-racist behaviour and how to be proactively anti-racist.
Learning Objectives
- An understanding of unconscious bias and how it manifests itself in the workplace.
- Able to recognise the natural biases that we all have in the workplace.
- An understanding of the external and internal drivers impacting unconscious bias in the workplace.
- An understanding of the term anti-racist and what it means to be anti-racist in the workplace.
- Practical actions to take away and implement in learners daily behaviour in the workplace to address and overcome unconscious bias and be anti-racist.
Duration and Attendance
- This course takes 3-hours with our professional, fully qualified, and experienced trainers.
- It can be delivered in-house, online, or at one of our face-to-face sessions (subject to covid-19 restrictions).
- To allow for effective group work and interaction, training is capped at 20 learners.
- The course is fully tailored to employers specific needs for inhouse training, with tailored case studies and best practice examples for the online and face-to-face training (through a pre-course learner questionnaire).
Certification
- A range of methods are used to assess each candidate, including practicals and questioning (open and multiple-choice).
- On successful completion of the course, learners will receive an Equality Act 2010 AwarenessTraining Certificate.
