Under 25 Leadership Weekend

This jam packed weekend will give you a taste of what leadership looks like and the amazing opportunities available to you as a young woman in Girlguiding. It will also be a great chance for you to meet other Girlguiding Members in Essex West aged 14-25 and make new friends at this fun filled event.

Arrivals will be from 6pm on the Friday where we'll have a relaxed evening getting to know each other over some food.

On Day One we will focus on what good leadership is and also give you guidance on developing and planning a varied Programme along with game and activity ideas to take back to your unit. We are also planning an activity and campfire too.

On Day Two you will have the choice of attending either a First Response or A Safe Space taster session. You will also receive information on things such as International Selection, the Queens Guide Award and have the opportunity to sign of parts of your Octants, Young Leader or Leadership Qualification.

This event will be free for members aged 14-25 to attend as associated costs will be covered by the Improving Access to Guiding Project, with thanks to the Pears Foundation. Spaces however are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
