Gender-equal practice in youth work refers to creating and implementing approaches that ensure all young people are treated equitably and have equal opportunities to participate, learn, and thrive. This involves challenging stereotypes and fostering environments that respect and value diversity in gender identities and expressions.
Please join us for this peer support workshop that offers youth workers the opportunity to share their questions, challenges and experiences with specialist practitioners in order to gain practical advice and tools to implement in their youth work settings.
This session is open to all youth workers across Scotland.
The workshop will be an interactive session, with a panel session followed by a Q&A and small-group discussions. Our panelists for the session are:
- Laura Dudley-Smith (LGBT Youth Scotland)
- Zem Chefeke (Freelance educator)
- Skye Allan MSYP Dumfriesshire
If you have any questions in advance for the panel, please email them to underpressure@zerotolerance.org.uk.
