Under Pressure Training for Youth Workers (Youth Scotland members only) - 23 March 2022
About this event
The Under Pressure training programme aims to support professionals working with young people to open discussions with them about some of the challenges and pressures they may be facing. Those challenges include risks of grooming and sexual exploitation, negotiating online safety, engaging in healthy consent-based relationships, and dealing with the pressures to conform to idealised models of ‘how to be’ men and women.
This free 2-hour training course is focused on how to engage young people in discussions about the subjects outlined above.
Learning Outcomes
Increased knowledge and understanding of:
- the effects of gender stereotyping on young people
- the signs and effects of abuse within young people’s intimate relationships
- Increased confidence in talking with young people about the issues of relationship abuse and exploitation
Participant - What you will need:
- Access to laptop/PC with microphone & camera
- Set up in a quiet space within your home
- Pen and paper

This event is free of charge to all Youth Scotland member groups. Please note: A £25 non-attendance fee will be applied where cancellation has not been received in advance of the event starting. You/your group will then be sent an invoice within 14 days.
