A bout the workshop:
Learn how to design and make playful, marine inspired sculptures while exploring with textiles, driftwood and a collection of ‘sea treasures’ sourced from the bay at Greyhope. Experimenting with colour, pattern, texture and form, you’ll also have the opportunity to create individual pieces for a large-scale collaborative installation during this fun family workshop.
A bout the artist:
Elaine Grant is a graduate from Gray’s School of Art, based at Torry’s Deemouth Artist Studios. Working with textiles, Elaine creates colourful characters, soft sculptural forms and playful accessories. Her work is inspired by themes of nostalgia and memories, and is often influenced by narratives from her own personal experiences. In addition to creating her own work Elaine is an experienced facilitator, sharing her creative skills while supporting participants to explore and experiment with different processes and techniques during playful workshop sessions.
