Adventure Awaits at Newlands Corner!

The Summer Reading Challenge is back for another summer of fun!

Surrey Libraries is kicking off this year's Challenge in the breath taking beauty of Newlands Corner - an open area of chalk downland, with plenty of woodlands to explore, and some of the best views over the Surrey Hills.

Designed by The Reading Agency and delivered by libraries, this year's theme of ‘Story Garden – Adventures in Nature and the Great Outdoors’ promises to inspire children to tap into a world of imagination through reading, exploring the magical connection between storytelling and nature.

Secure your child’s spot for 'Under the Yew Tree', where they’ll embark on a magical guided walk through the woodlands, before taking part in a storytelling session with the brilliantly engaging John Kirk, under the branches of the 1000-year-old Yews.
