Nick Cash and Guy both original members of the band bring 999 to Hersham, a band that have been ever present in the punk scene.
999 were from Dec 1976 established as a powerful live act on the London punk scene.
Up to 2007, 999 released fourteen singles and twelve studio albums.
On the strength of their well received, self-financed debut single, 999 were signed to United Artists Records around the same time as the Buzzcocks."I'm Alive" became a firm favourite in the punk clubs. The band's second single, "Nasty Nasty", was cited nearly 20 years after its release as a seminal punk single. As is Homicide / Emergency and many more that make up a set that is not be missed.
Arturo Bassick of The Lurkers fame joined the band in 1991 and remains the bass guitarist with 999 to this date.
THE NIC AUSTIN AGENDA
Nic Austin from Chelsea and Church Of Eon like 999 also an ever present face in the punk scene for far too many years that Nic cares to remember.
Nic Austin has been a member of Chelsea in and out for decades.
His new band Church Of Eon is winning over many a new fan
Nic is in Hersham with fellow Church of Eon Member Marc Jeffries (also The Plague)… to give you The Nic Austin Agenda – this is the very first outing in the musical journey for Nic and we are assured of “something special”
The Blue Carpet Band
Blue Carpet are a powerhouse five-piece garage/ dirty rock'n'roll band based in North London. Like classic blues-rock proponents such as The Yardbirds and early Rolling Stones mixing it up with New York punk and late 60's protopunk. Think big riffs, 12-bar boogie and unstoppable energy.
Young but f**** good, so good we have booked them for Undercover Festival V in Margate in September.
Bracknell’s finest and Undercover Festival regulars. Rage DC originally formed in 1996; over the years they have shared a bill with, amongst many others, the UK Subs, Sham 69, 999, Stiff Little Fingers, GBH, Vibrators, Anti-Nowhere League, Vice Squad, the Dickies, The Undertones, The Outcasts, XSLF and Chelsea.
A 100 mile an hour set delivered tight as a ducks arse and with a gritty unique style. Some of the nicest guys on the scene today always guaranteed to put in 110%
Four guys, disillusioned by the current state of the music decided enough was enough. Not really but it sounds great doesn't it! We got together because we wanted to have fun and make some noise.Simple really! We play classic punk rock, ska and new wave. SLF, The Damned, Sex Pistols, The Clash, 999, Buzzcocks, Adverts, The Ramones, The Ruts, Generation X, Sham 69, Undertones, Specials, The Beat, Selecter Get the general idea? Shouldn't need to draw you a picture. Punk's not dead, its just getting closer to it's pension”.
