You are warmly invited to join London Met’s School of Human Sciences inaugural Undergraduate Chemistry Research Conference on Wednesday 5 June 2019, from 1-6pm.

This thought-provoking event will highlight undergraduate research across a range of topics related to chemistry, with stimulating presentations, and is kindly sponsored by the Royal Society of Chemistry.


The day’s agenda includes:

  • 1-1.15pm: Welcome and introduction by London Met's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lynn Dobbs

  • 1.15-2.30pm: Session One, comprising five 15-minute talks

  • 2.30-2.45pm: Break, with refreshments

  • 2.45-4pm: Session Two, comprising five 15-minute talks

  • 4-4.15pm: Break, with refreshments

  • 4.15-5.15pm: Session three, comprising four 15-minute talks

  • 4-4.15pm: Break, with wine reception

  • 5.45-6pm: Prize-giving ceremony

The School of Human Sciences offers a wide range of courses in subjects including applied biology, biomedical sciences, chemical and pharmaceutical Sciences, nutrition and dietetics, and sports science and therapy. Students have access to an impressive range of specialist facilities as well as support from experienced, highly qualified and enthusiastic academics. Graduates of our human sciences degrees have gone on to work for companies such as the NHS, the Nutrition Society, Arsenal and Chelsea Football Clubs, and GlaxoSmithKline, working as consultant nutritionists, sports therapists, lab researchers, food technologists, microbiology technicians, biotechnologists and more.
