Event description

Description

Amey is one of the largest and most diverse companies working for the public and regulated sectors in the UK, with the aim of creating better places for people to live, work and travel.

We believe that the key to driving technology innovation is working with a broad range of partners from the public, private and third sector. We are interested in hearing from small to medium-sized enterprises which can bring a wealth of knowledge to our business. As we which will transform the way people live, work and travel in the UK.

About the Event

On the 16th October, we are inviting SME’s to a day of workshops to engage with heads from our business in two key areas: Underground Asset Management and Artificial Intelligence.

The workshops will focus on two key challenges; Underground Asset Management and Artificial Intelligence. We have invited key members of the business to talk about them in more detail and to participate in the workshop sessions. The aim of the day is to understand what SMEs can contribute to tackling these challenges, and potentially scope out solutions which can be used within the Amey business. This is the start of a journey to develop a future solution, and not a meet the supplier event. We would like to continue conversations with SMEs that offer interesting and innovative business focused cost effective solutions as part of Innovation Engine Project.

The challenges in more detail:

> Underground Asset Management

Managing underground assets is notoriously challenging. Just knowing where they are can be hard enough! We are interested in cost effective mapping the underworld, remote maintenance and remote degradation identification.

> Artificial Intelligence

Are you looking into the application of AI in the areas we operate in? Are you developing solutions which will fundamentally change processes across organisations? Take a look at our website to understand some of our business areas.
