Event Details

This workshop runs over three hours 1.00pm - 4.00pm.  It aims to pull back the curtain on the incredible misunderstanding which is experienced by many around this condition. The purpose is to provide an important awareness of the condition whilst simplifying for non-experts.

This will give all teaching and support staff (and parents/carers) useful strategies to support the learning of students with ADHD, including behaviour, study skills and barriers to learning.

Training is provided by Hilary Nunns, an ADHD specialist tutor who provides training for education professionals.  As a current practitioner she’s exactly the sort of person to work with, and you will gain some REALLY good strategies if you spend time in her training session.

Parents of children with ADHD who attend this training will be able to introduce some of the strategies at home, enabling them to find their way more easily through the education system and work in partnership with school and college.

What you will learn:

Understand what it means to have ADHD

Dispel the myths

Recognise the barriers to learning

Gain strategies to support learning

Who should attend:

Designed for anyone with an interesting in helping with studying, with homework and with behaviour eg:
