Understanding ADHD & Autism in Teens
Overview
Understanding Autism and ADHD in Teens: A Six-Week Course
Parenting a teenager with Autism or ADHD comes with unique joys and challenges. Understanding what these diagnoses really mean for your family—and knowing how to provide the right support—can make all the difference.
Join us for this six-week online course where we'll explore what Autism and ADHD look like during the teenage years, and how these conditions impact your young person's daily life, relationships, and development. We'll share practical strategies for supporting their specific needs and provide you with tools for preventing and managing challenging behaviours.
Throughout the course, we'll help you better understand the particular challenges your child faces—from sensory sensitivities and executive function difficulties to social communication and emotional regulation. We'll also look at how to encourage and foster independence in your teen, supporting them to develop the skills they need while respecting their neurodivergent way of being.
Whether your teen has a recent diagnosis, you're still navigating the assessment process, or you've been parenting a neurodivergent young person for years, this course will deepen your understanding and expand your toolkit.
