Understanding ADHD with Corrina Wood
Overview
Please note that, due to our funding, our workshops are only open to parents/carers/professionals who live or work in South Gloucestershire (or who have a child at school in South Glos). Your child does not require a diagnosis to attend any of our workshops.
ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is often identified by patterns of behaviour that can make everyday life more challenging for children and families. Children with ADHD may experience difficulties such as inattention, impulsivity, restlessness, disorganisation, forgetfulness, emotional outbursts, and anxiety.
This online workshop will help parents gain a clearer understanding of ADHD and explore practical ways to offer support at home and school. Together, we’ll look at:
🟡 What ADHD really is
🟡 How it can show up in different children
🟡 The link between ADHD and executive functioning
🟡 Strategies to support children with ADHD
The session will be led by Corrina from Platypus Training, who brings a wealth of personal and professional experience in neurodiversity. Corrina holds a Master’s degree in Autism and has worked for over 15 years as a Family Services Manager, developing services for families, children, and young people. She has extensive experience supporting families of children with both autism and ADHD.
The workshop will be recorded for those who are unable to attend live.
