Impostor syndrome is quite a common issue, especially high-achieving individuals, and have negative impacts on both personal and professional life. People with this syndrome show a pattern of behaviour where they generally doubt their success and competencies, and have a persistent fear of being exposed as a fraud.
In this session, we'll touch upon:
- the ways to understand when, why, and how impostor syndrome is affecting you
- how to identify your trigger situations, and the impacts they have on your life
- tools and practices to navigate limiting thoughts and behaviours

Selda Koydemir, PhD
Selda Koydemir is a London-based wellbeing practitioner who specialises in emotional wellbeing, the foundations of happiness, improving quality of life, and psychological flexibility. Her clients range from motivated individuals to large-scale organisations.
Selda is passionate about helping professionals protect their mental health and wellbeing. She provides consulting services to business leaders seeking to thrive in their professional and personal lives.
Selda is a mental health practitioner registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy in the UK and provides counselling services to adults. As a trained prosocial facilitator, she also provides consulting and training services that help teams work more collaboratively and construct a more productive workplace culture.
Selda has held several research and teaching positions throughout Europe and the US, and is the author of numerous scientific articles and books. Her academic research focuses on the effect of personality on wellbeing and on the predictors of happiness. At present, she is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Bamberg in Germany, where she teaches at the Department of Psychology.
