Event description

Description

Fussy eating is a normal part of child development and can occur for many reasons. Most children pass through this phase but some children continue to have difficulty eating a range of foods or accepting new foods and their food choices may be limited.

During this parent workshop we hope to:

- Increase your awareness of what feeding difficulties are and why they can happen

- Increase your awareness of how the senses affect food choices and eating

- Support you and your family to try to reduce anxiety around mealtimes and feeding difficulties

- Increase your confidence in trying different ways at home to manage the difficulties your child has with eating.

The workshop will offer a chance to meet other parents and share experiences and ideas and therefore we ask that children do not attend.

There will be Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and Dietitians present to discuss strategies and you will have the opportunity to ask questions.

If you have any questions you can contact the organisers on 01382 835103
