Description

Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) is a behaviour profile within the autism spectrum. However, the pedagogical approaches that a teacher may use in this situation vary significantly from those typically used with children with ASC.

What can be learned from these distinct pedagogies that can assist mainstream teachers in understanding and meeting the needs of pupils who are reluctant to follow instructions or everyday expectations?

Delivered by experienced teachers from the Wolverhampton Outreach Service, this course is free to all school based staff in Wolverhampton.
